Over the past three years, I’d slowed down quite a bit with how much I was marketing and subsequently, how much I was shooting. Toward the end of my pregnancy in 2019, I definitely took a step back with how much work I was taking on and then soon after having my daughter, Covid hit. After restrictions lifted, then locked up again, and finally restrictions have been lifted (hopefully for the last time), I’m so excited to get back on the horse.
I have definitely worked through the three years, but truthfully, it was really difficult at first while dealing with post partum depression. Luckily, I was able to get the help I needed and now I’m able to put my efforts back into shooting and capturing beautiful memories for my clients.
I think the thing I’m looking forward to the most is working with children again; that has always been my biggest pleasure. I used to work a Montessori and then again at Dunross Primary with young children. I’ve always been drawn to work that involved interacting with children. It brings me great joy.
I'm also really excited to get back to it because it has never been more clear to me just how important capturing photos with the ones you love is. We've just gone through two years of the world completely changing and if there is one takeaway from it all, it's that life is so fragile and we must do what we can to cherish our loved ones while we have them.
